Scotland and Lions loosehead prop Rory Sutherland is talking to Kobelco Kobe Steelers about a post-World Cup move to the Far East and ply his trade in Japan.
Sutherland, 30, is playing for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship after signing a short-term deal in November, just after Worcester Warriors were liquidated and kicked out of the Premiership.
He spent seven years with Edinburgh before moving to Sixways in 2021 and was the subject of interest before joining Ulster and has been made an offer to join the Steelers.
